These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Loop English ("the App", "we", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Loop English, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
Loop English is an AI-assisted English learning app. Core features include AI-driven voice conversations, post-call analysis, detailed vocabulary cards, phrase practice, pronunciation feedback, text analysis, and spaced-repetition training. The service is provided "as-is" — accuracy of AI-generated content is not guaranteed.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Loop English. By using the app, you confirm that you are 13 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
3. Account
Sign-in via Apple ID is optional. If you sign in, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Account → Delete account; this permanently erases all your stored data.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Loop English may provide a limited introductory experience before a subscription is required for Pro features. Monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions are processed and billed through your Apple ID by Apple's App Store. The exact price, billing period, local currency, and any trial eligibility shown in Apple's purchase confirmation sheet are authoritative. The following terms apply to all paid subscriptions:
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Cancellation. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until that date.
- Free trial. Apple may offer an introductory free trial to eligible customers. Eligibility is determined by Apple and is not guaranteed. If a trial is offered and accepted, it converts to a paid subscription at the price shown in Apple's purchase sheet unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Refunds. Refunds are managed by Apple per their standard refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund from Apple.
- Price changes. If we change subscription prices, you will be notified before the next renewal and may cancel before the new price takes effect.
- Account deletion. Deleting your account does NOT cancel your App Store subscription. You must cancel separately in iOS Settings to stop being billed.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use Loop English only for personal, non-commercial language learning. You will not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
- Use the app to harass, abuse, or harm any person.
- Submit content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or designed to harm the AI or other users.
- Use the app to generate content that violates the rights of any third party.
- Attempt to bypass subscription requirements, technical safeguards, usage protections, or paywalls.
- Use automated tools to interact with the app or its API in ways that exceed normal personal use.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the app or its features.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these rules.
6. AI-generated content
Loop English uses AI models (currently Anthropic's Claude and ElevenLabs voice models) to generate conversations, translations, error analyses, and audio. AI-generated content may contain errors, biases, or unintended phrasing. You should not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional language instruction, legal advice, medical advice, or any other professional judgment.
7. Intellectual property
The Loop English app, brand, characters (Sarah, Mike, Emily, James, Andre), and all related content are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark law. The flashcards and conversation content you create remain your own; we have a limited license to store and process them as needed to deliver the service.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as-is" and "as-available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Loop English, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim relating to these Terms or the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app and reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using Loop English at any time by deleting the app. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Loop English will be resolved in the courts of the United States, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
